I'm being called to Lothern on extended business.
Posted by Cedia on 10-Nov-08 09:11pm My friends, I am being called away to Lothern and I do not know when I will return. I will check in when I can, but I encourage you to seek out membership in a regiment with a more present leader. A good place to look is with our allies. Isha bless you and keep you until I return.- Lady Dreamchaser
((I think it's high time I made this decision, and it is a hard one. I have enjoyed this game in the beta stages, but as time has worn on, I am losing more interest in it every day. The world feels shallow and flat to me, and I do not feel that my character is part of it -- Mythic said many times that they were making a game and not a world, and I thought that roleplaying could make up the world part for me. Unfortunately, for me personally, this is not the case.
I am not going to disband this guild, because I'm not foolish enough to burn bridges in case I ever want to play the game more in the future. I am also not going to kick anybody from the guild, but I do think that you guys will get more enjoyment from a guild with a leader who is more active.
I thank you all for this opportunity, and I have greatly enjoyed playing and roleplaying with all of you. I really do hope we meet in another game if not this one. Chances are right now you will find me in EQ2 on Antonia Bayle as Dreamchaser the Fury, and after next week in LotRO on Landroval as Cedia the Rune-keeper. Of course, you can always look on my Xfire profile to see where I am at any given time.

Take care, everyone. Yes, this hurts, but I feel it is necessary for me to do right now.)) Read More | Comments: 3
The Protectorate alliance
Posted by Cedia on 02-Nov-08 03:16amWe have joined an alliance with The Laughing Host regiment, intent on protecting our lands and our culture. Though we have different outlooks and different customs, the more of us stand together, the stronger we will become!
So don't be shy and say hello to our new allies!
- Lady Dreamchaser
((Following is the alliance charter, as drafted by Merantha at www.thelaughinghost.com.
/a is alliance chat (IC)
/ao is alliace officer chat (OOC)
The Protectorate is an Alliance of Roleplaying guilds brought together to encourage roleplay and assist each other in both PvE and RvR. Those who join The Protectorate agree to the following:
1.) Roleplaying will be encouraged. Anti-roleplaying behaviour and attitudes will not be tolerated.
2.) No one passes judgement or censure on the roleplaying of others. If someone is trying to roleplay, the worst thing we can do is discourage them by being insulting or disparaging.
3.) Keep OOC and IC separate. In character grudges do not equate to out of character anger. We are all fellow-players of a game, we will maintain respect and consideration for other PLAYERS, even if our characters are disrespectful to other characters.
4) Again, maintain respect and consideration for other players. Instruction on how to play a career is acceptable. Explaining proper tactics in RvR or PvE is acceptable. Playful banter and friendly needling is acceptable. Spiteful insults and purposeful offense is unacceptable.
Along those lines, one must understand that chat communication is often incomplete in conveying the feelings behind statements. If someone says something that offends you, ask for clarification or inform them that it upset you in private message. It is unwise to assume malicious behavior where misunderstanding is a more likely cause.
5.) If conflict between players arises, the officers of the guilds involved will work together to come to an approprate resolution. If a mediator from one of the other Alliance guilds is needed, the officers can request one that both guilds agree on. Once resolution is reached, the other guilds in the Alliance will respect the resolution.
6.) All guilds in the Alliance must be in accord concerning a guild before it is invited into the Alliance.
7.) Individual guild rules are in effect for the invididual guilds in the Alliance. Alliance rules do not counter individual guild rules. This is with the understanding that the individual guilds agree on the charter of the Alliance before they join.
8.) Alliance chat is in character. The cooperation of Empire Celestial Wizards and Asur Archmages have brought forth amulets those of the Alliance can wear for ease of communication on the battlefield and to rally the troops when needed.
Alliance Officer chat may be out of character.))
There’s some foul sickness going about, and I’m not talking about the Plague!
Posted by Cedia on 20-Oct-08 04:24pmLast night at Storytelling, two members of the Order of Sigmar were drinking at the bar, wearing nothing but their underwear! One of them didn’t look half bad, but the other… oh! Anyway, I mentioned this to a dwarf, Trunner, standing beside me, and he thought it might be a bout of too much ale. Well, that could happen, I suppose, but neither of these men were acting drunk at all.
So later I met up with Wulfhramn, and decided to investigate. Well, he decided to interrogate, actually. The two were dressed when we came in. Rakks got fairly upset when questioned, but the other, Exsilium, understood our position and went along with it. We even got Trunner to come back and testify, that no, even if I was seeing things, I was not alone!
We all came to the conclusion that there is some kind of sickness or bad magic in our midst, and perhaps it is the forces of Chaos trying to divide us. We should stand strong, and stand together! And we should investigate naked people wherever we find them! Um, well… maybe not wherever, but at least wherever it is inappropriate to be naked. I’ve opened a case study at headquarters for anyone to write down their observations.
((Last night I found out about the naked person graphics bug – the hard way. In any case, we decided to run with it. So Wulf and I were talking more about this, and we thought that, since we are supposed to be a sort of spy regiment, well, maybe we should call out random roleplayers and “investigate” them. Like, “I saw Vertai last week kissing a dog! Is he tainted? Who will stand up for this man!”
I don’t want to really go off on the Witch Hunter thing, but we need something to get people involved, instead of standing around in little groups only talking to people they know. We also spoke to Ethien about this, and he supported it, but right now he is working on getting the guild alliance together, so he suggested we wait until after that happens. Just keep it in mind, and use this thread for any “observations” your character might have.))
Storytelling Night Every Sunday!
Posted by Cedia on 12-Oct-08 06:38pm *A notice distributed and posted in pubs, taverns and inns throughout the realms of Order*Greetings and Blessings to All,
I would like to cordially invite every citizen of the Empire, Asur, and dwarf to meet at the Grey Lady Coaching Inn in Nordland at 8:00 PM (EST) on Sunday Nights every week. This will be an excellent opportunity for us to report, coordinate our regiments, and also to relax and enjoy an evening of conversation. I have spoken with both Innkeeper Svetla and Lieutenant Weaver, and they have agreed to make the Inn and its grounds available for this purpose.
The Laughing Host Regiment will be arranging for stories to be told on these nights. The tales and lore of our cultures will be defended and preserved by the telling. This Sunday, the 18th, there will be three stories, all regarding the greatest heros of the elves, the Empire, and the Dwarves.
Also, if you are interested in telling a story on future Storytelling Nights, please contact me.
Thank you for your attention,
Troupe Leader Merantha Duskblade of The Laughing Host
((OOC: During the Second Summit of Order, it was agreed that to encourage roleplay on our server, a regularly scheduled roleplaying even would be a great idea. So here is our "Tavern Night!" All roleplayers and those interested in roleplaying are welcome to come, hang out, socialize, meet other RPers and be a part of a story.
So, again, every Sunday Night at 8 PM, EST, the Grey Lady Coaching Inn in Nordland. BE THERE!

Summit of Order II: Results
Posted by Cedia on 12-Oct-08 05:17pm ((I attended this meeting last night, and everything Ethien says I agree with. People are really wonderful on this server! Also, yes, we have more stuff in the works!))From http://www.warhammeralliance.com/forums/showthread.php?t=145966
Everyone was allowed their say, and a democratic voting process was used to register decisions. It all went well without any disagreement, and conflict. Again I'll say that I'm proud of our community here, and how well we function together despite various beliefs. We mostly held discussion, but we did make decisions in that process as well.
The four channels are now combined into one. This being.

We advise all regiment leaders to post this information on their site. We need to keep using these with the same etiquette of the prior channel system!
For the roleplaying segment, that meeting really pulled us together for making events and getting roleplaying off to a good start here. You'll be seeing events, stories, and much more on these forums as a result!
